Susan Weltner-Brunton, Ph.D.
Dr. Susan Weltner-Brunton is an Ohio licensed psychologist specializing in psychological assessment and treatment for children, adolescents, young adults, parents, and families. She has special training, interest, and expertise in learning disabilities, attention, mood and anxiety disorders, adolescent and young adulthood, parent counseling, and family therapy.
Dr. Weltner-Brunton works with children, adolescents, and adults with a special interest in the ages of 15 to 25. She loves helping young people clarify their emerging identities and directions by helping them understand their challenges and capitalize upon their strengths. Dr. Weltner-Brunton uses an integrative approach, incorporating her knowledge of developmental and family psychology, learning styles, and cognitive abilities.
Her techniques include insight-oriented, cognitive-behavioral, and systemic. Her style is patient and affirming, but she is an "active" therapist who often brings humor into the room. She also enjoys helping parents communicate about the challenges of raising a family while increasing respect for one another's point of view and unique style.

After receiving her Bachelor's degree from Miami University, Dr. Weltner-Brunton obtained her Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Clinical Child and Developmental Psychology from The Ohio State University. Her internship in Clinical Child and Pediatric Psychology was completed at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus followed by post-doctoral training at Harding Hospital. After working in the community and private mental health settings, she established her private practice in Columbus in 1998. She is the founder of Susan Weltner-Brunton, Ph.D. & Associates, Inc. and a member of the American Psychological Association and the Ohio Psychological Association.
