Bobbi Numan Erd, Ph.D.
Dr. Bobbi Numan Erd is an Ohio licensed psychologist and an independent contractor who provides psychological services for adults and older adults. Dr. Erd earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from Washington University in St. Louis and earned her Masters and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern University. She completed her internship at the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago, Illinois. Her research focused on the exploration of various aspects of memory and the effects of depression on neuropsychological functioning. After taking time away from clinical work to focus on raising her family, Dr. Erd has worked as an independent contractor in the Columbus area since 2008.
Dr. Erd specializes in helping adults over the age of 21 who are struggling with issues such as depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief and loss, stress, and low self-esteem. She utilizes an integrative approach and incorporates cognitive-behavioral, insight-oriented, and interpersonal techniques along with being active and practical within a warm, caring, accepting, and supportive environment. Dr. Erd also has extensive experience and interest in conducting adult neuropsychological evaluations, especially with older adults who may have concerns about the beginnings of progressive dementia.
